Tributes have been paid to Chalfont Heights resident Barry Bradbrook, who died in February aged 87.
Barry was a popular man, known to many on the estate and in Chalfont St Peter village. He was someone who believed in making his contribution to the estate: Barry served as a member of the Chalfont Heights Roads Committee for six years, from 2000 until 2006.
Barry’s daughter, Samantha, related that Barry and his wife Maureen moved into Orchard House, Sandy Rise, 50 years ago. At that time, she says, they purchased the house for £30,000. How times have changed.
Samantha continues to live in Orchard House with her family.
The current Chairman of Chalfont Heights Roads Committee, Peter Gourd, said: “Barry was a popular figure in our community and he will be sadly missed. While serving on the Committee he helped protect the special ambience of this lovely estate by taking responsibility for its trees and verges. We are grateful for his contribution.”
Barry Bradbrook’s funeral will take place at 2.30pm on Friday 24th March 2023 at the Chilterns Crematorium, Milton Chapel, Whielden Lane, Amersham. Donations are invited to Alzheimer’s Research UK, in lieu of flowers. Details are provided in the link below:
