CHRC Committee have installed a 50mm high speed hump on the corner of Upway and Winkers Close. The purpose of the installation is to test the effect on the speed of vehicles in this area.

The decision was made by the Committee to test this method after data collected from traffic counters showed that the speeding hotspots in the Estate were by the entrance areas.

It is our intention to install the counter again on Upway and to monitor data for a month to compare against the previous dataset. By installing speed humps by the 3 entrances hopefully it will be a clear signal to road users to slow down when traveling through our Estate.
