Storm Damage and Street Lighting

During the recent storm the Estate fortunately lost only two trees – one on Ellis Avenue and one on Chiltern Hill at the junction with Lewis Lane.  Jasper Garnham had identified the damage on Monday morning and organised for Fineland Forestry to deal with the immediate problems on Monday afternoon.

Fineland will complete the removal of trunks when their workload returns to normal.  Meanwhile if anyone becomes aware of damaged trees belonging to the Estate, please let us know.

Parish Council meets re gypsy and traveller sites consultation

There will be an Extraordinary Meeting of the Parish Council on Monday, 7th October at 18.30 in the Parish Council Offices in Gravel Hill, Chalfont St Peter.

The meeting will be preceded by a 15-minute public discussion.  The main topic of the meeting will be the Chiltern District Council public consultation relating to Sites for Gypsies, Travellers and Travelling Showpeople.

URGENT – CHRC Response to Chiltern District Council public consultation on Gypsy, Travellers and Travelling Showpeople

Chalfont Heights Roads Committee Limited has submitted its response to Chiltern District Council’s public consultation regarding Gypsy, Travellers and Travelling Showpeople Site Options.

The response objects to the identification of Area 4 as a potentially suitable site and makes the point that with four other sites in the immediate neighbourhood, Chalfont St Peter has arguably provided more than its fair share of sites.

Missing cat – have you seen Dexter? Click for photo

The Butler family in Winkers Close are missing their black and white cat, Dexter.

He was last seen on Tuesday, 24 September.

Residents are asked to check their sheds, outbuildings and garages in case Dexter has got stuck or accidentally been locked in.

Anyone who has seen the cat, or got any information, is asked to call the Butlers on 01753 883017.

Reminder: consultation by Chiltern District Council

The deadline for submissions to Chiltern District Council in relation to their public consultation regarding possible sites for Gypsies, Travellers and Travelling Showpeople is 14 October.  We remind residents that one of the sites (“Area 4”) identified as potentially suitable is the field on Denham Lane next to Winkers nightclub close to the Estate.
